By accessing or using edithistory.wiki ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.
2. Description of Service
edithistory.wiki provides a free, web-based tool for visualising Wikipedia article revision history. The Site retrieves publicly available data from the Wikipedia MediaWiki API and Wikimedia Analytics API and presents it in a visual format. The Site is provided "as is" and may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.
3. No Affiliation with Wikipedia
edithistory.wiki is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way connected to the Wikimedia Foundation, Wikipedia, or any of their related projects. All Wikipedia content and revision data is the property of Wikipedia's contributors and is used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the Site. You must not:
- Scrape or systematically download data from the Site in a manner that burdens our infrastructure
- Attempt to circumvent any rate limiting or caching mechanisms
- Use the Site to harass, defame, or target individual Wikipedia editors
- Use automated tools to generate high volumes of requests without prior written consent
5. Accuracy of Data
All data displayed on the Site is fetched from third-party APIs (Wikipedia, Wikimedia) and may be delayed, incomplete, or cached. edithistory.wiki makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed. The controversy score and other derived metrics are statistical estimates, not definitive editorial judgments.
6. Advertising
The Site displays third-party advertisements to support its operation. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Clicking on advertisements may take you to external websites governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, edithistory.wiki and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content.
